A southern-European univoltine species flying from the middle of March to June when it comes readily to light with a maximum of thirteen in a single trap one night in May 2007 at Las Descargues. A species associated with any habitat with trees, orchards, open woodland and forests.
Larvae feed on Alnus, Populus, Salix, Fraxinus and various species of fruit trees.
