Cidaria fulvata (Forster, 1771)

Barred Yellow

Wingspan: 19-26mm

A univoltine species on the wing from June to August when it is a frequent visitor to the mv lights at Las Descargues and to those traps in or near the broadleaved woodland of the plateau, it is also recorded from the calcareous meadows and grasslands of the Causse.

The larva feeds on various wild rose species. Overwinters as an egg on the foodplant and then after feeding it pupates in plant detritus.
