Lithophane leautieri (Boisduval, 1829)

Blair's Shoulder-knot

Wingspan: 35-42mm

A univoltine species on the wing from September to December when it is attracted to light but rarely to sugar. Recorded from the mv lights at Las Descargues and from traps situated in or near the conifer plantations of the plateau.

The larva feeds on the flowers, young shoots and leaves of various conifers. It overwinters as an egg and pupates after feeding underground.
