Lysandra coridon (Poda, 1761)

Chalk-hill Blue
L'Argus bleu nacré

Wingspan: 28-36mm

A univoltine species on the wing from July to October in dry, calcareous habitats with short grasses and an abundance of low-growing flora.

The larva feeds on Hippocrepis comosa, H. glauca and is attended during the larval stage by various ant species.
