Blastodacna hellerella (Duponchel, 1838)

Wingspan: 10-11mm

A univoltine species on the wing from May to August when it is occasionally attracted to light but can more easily be disturbed during the day from its foodplant. It can also be found on tree trunks and fences.

The larva feeds on Crataegus monogyna, C. Laevigata, Prunus spp. Pupates in a loose cocoon inside rotten wood or in the soil.
