Micropterix aglaella (Duponchel, 1838)

Wingspan: male 6-8mm female 7-8.5mm

A univoltine species on the wing from late-May to mid-July, occasionally attracted to light and recorded just five times from the mv traps at Las Descargues. A species of southern France.

Originally described as being associated with Ligustrum vulgare, Cornus sanguinea and Sambucus spp. but recent research by Rudi Bryner shows it on Dactylis glomerata and Rubus.
