Paraswammerdamia lutarea (Haworth, 1828)

Wingspan: 11-14mm

A univoltine species flying in July and early August when it is an infrequent visitor to the traps at Las Descargues but can be more often beaten from Crataegus bushes.

Larvae feed on Crataegus, Sorbus aucuparia, Cotoneaster horizontalis etc. Pupation takes place in a white cocoon amongst leaves of the foodplant.
