Lythria cruentaria (Hufnagel, 1767)

Pale-rose Saffron
Esanglantée commune

Wingspan: 18-22mm

A bivoltine species on the wing in April and May and again from June to the end of August when it occasionally comes to light but is more often encountered as a diurnal species. A species of woodland margins, lowland and upland grasslands and unmanaged pasture.

Larvae feed on Rumex acetosa.
