Sorhagenia lophyrella (Douglas, 1846)

Wingspan: 9-11mm

A univoltine species on the wing from May to August, requires dissection to separate from similar species. A scarce species at Las Descargues but more commonly found on the Causse. A species of chalk and limestone habitats where its foodplants are found.

Larvae feed on Rhamnus cathartica, Frangula alnus.
