Rhagades pruni ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan: 18-26mm

A univoltine species on the wing from June to August when it can be observed flying between late morning and late afternoon. The only records to date are from Catus in the Lot although it must be more widespread.

Larva feeds on Prunus spinosa, Calluna vulgaris, Helianthemum nummularium, pupation takes place in a whitish cocoon spun in branches of the foodplant.
