Cyaniris semiargus (Rottemburg, 1775)

Mazarine Blue
Le Demi-Argus, L'Azure des anthyllides

Wingspan: 28-36mm

A mainly univoltine species on the wing from May to August although in mountainous regions of Europe it has been described as bivoltine or even trivoltine. A species of dry and wet meadows, scrub and even clearings in light woodland.

Larvae feed on Trifolium spp.
