Stigmella suberivora (Stainton, 1869)

Wingspan: 5-6.5mm

A bivoltine species with adults flying in May and again in September. Adults are yet to be recorded at Las Descargues although the mines are found. A woodland, scrub and hedgerow species.

Eggs are laid on the upperside of Quercus ilex. Larvae form a broad gallery with a central line of frass, feeding takes place in mid-summer and again from November through to spring.
