Parectopa ononidis (Zeller, 1839)

Wingspan: 7-9mm

A trivoltine species on the wing from May to the end of September when it is an occasional visitor to the lights of Las Descargues. A species of meadows, verges and woodland margins and wherever the foodplant is found.

Eggs are laid on the underside of the leaf of either Trifolium or Ononis spp., starting as a gallery but soon turning into a blotch on the upperside of the leaf.
