Lampronia luzella (Hübner, 1817)

Wingspan: 11-13mm

A univoltine, woodland species on the wing from May to July when it is a scarce visitor to the lights of Las Descargues but is more often recorded in and adjacent to the Gorge woodlands.

Little is known about the early stages and there appears to be some confusion over the foodplant for this species with various suggestions from various authors ranging from dead poplar leaves to Epilobium but Rubus appears to be a possible common association.
