Eulithis prunata (Linnaeus, 1758)

La Cidarie du prunier

Wingspan: 35-40mm

A univoltine species on the wing from late-May to September, common in most localities but unusually scarce here at Las Descargues where there has only been one confirmed record. A species of woodland, garden and river valleys.

Larvae feed on Ribes spp with the autumn laid egg overwintering on the foodplant and pupation taking place in between spun leaves of the foodplant.
