Stigmella roborella (Johansson, 1971)

Wingspan: 5-6.5mm

A bivoltine species on the wing from May to the end of June and again in August and September. Although regarded as common in Western Europe this is a scarce species at Las Descargues despite the abundance of its preferred oak woodland habitat.

Little known of its early stages apart from the fact that oviposition takes place on the underside of various oak species.
