Oak-tree Pug

Wingspan: 16-24mm

A univoltine woodland species on the wing from April to the end of June when it is an occasional visitor to the lights at Las Descargues and those of the Fournanty Plateau.

Larvae feed on the leaves of Crataegus, Quercus and the calyces of berries of Crataegus. Overwinters as a pupa under the bark of the foodplant or in soil beneath it.
