Wingspan: 22-25mm

A bivoltine species with adults on the wing from April to June and again in July and August when it occasionally comes to light in the calcareous meadows of the Plateau and those of the Causse.

Larvae feed on Angelica, Artemisia, Senecio, Galium verum, Bupleurum and Peucedanum, the winter is spent within a cocoon in loose soil beneath the foodplant.
