Oxyptilus chrysodactyla ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan: 15-21mm

A univoltine species on the wing from June to August when it occasionally visits the lights at Las Descargues but is more frequently encountered along the margins of the plateau woodlands and unmanaged meadows of the ridge. A species of open woodland and rough grassland.

Larvae feed on Hieracium umbellatum and possibly other species of that genus. Pupation takes place on a leaf upper surface or along a stem.
