Scythris crassiuscula (Herrich-Schäffer, 1855)

Wingspan: 9-11.5mm

A univoltine species on the wing from June to early August when it is a scarce visitor to light but may be netted through sweeping although on warm days they can prove highly elusive, escaping from the net the moment they are taken. A species of grassland and woodland margins in calcareous habitats.

Larvae feed among the stems and possibly the flowers of Helianthemum in loose webs during June.
