Prays fraxinella (Bjerkander, 1784)

Wingspan: 7-8mm

A bivoltine species flying from May to October when it is a frequent and relatively common visitor to the lights at Las Descargues. A species of the plateau woodlands but scrub and also found in the Las Descargues gardens where ash is abundant if not a pest species.

Larvae mine leaves of Fraxinus excelsior before migrating to the soft bark of twigs and then the flower galls.
