Wingspan: 28-37mm

A univoltine species flying from May to July when it is an occasional visitor to the lights at Las Descargues but is more often encountered in the Bave Valley where its habitat is found. A species of wetlands, river valleys, fens and marshes.

Larvae feed on Phragmites, Carex, Phalaris and Typha spp.
