Evergestis pallidata (Hufnagel, 1767)

A univoltine species on the wing from May to the end of September when it is a scarce visitor at the lights of Las Descargues but more often recorded in the Bave Valley were its habitat is found. A species of damp scrub and woodland and wetland habitats in river valleys.

Larvae feed gregariously on Barbarea vulgaris before hibernating in cocoons underground with pupation taking place in spring.
