Agrius convolvuli (Linnaeus, 1758)

Convolvulus Hawkmoth
Sphinx du liseron

Wingspan: male 85-110mm female 90-115mm

A univoltine migrant species on the wing from May to November when it is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all sites. A ubiquitous species found in all habitats.

Larvae feed on various members of the Convolvulaceae, wild and cultivated varieties. Pupation takes place underground.
