Agrochola circellaris (Hufnagel, 1766)

La Fauvette

Wingspan: 30-42mm

A univoltine species on the wing from August to November when it is attracted to light and sugar. It has been recorded from all sites and can, if conditions are right, be abundant. A species of broadleaved woodland, scrub and gardens.

Larvae feed on ash, elm, poplar species and sallows. Overwinters as an egg before larval feeding commences on the flowers of the foodplant.
