Wingspan: 16-21mm

A univoltine species on the wing from April to June when it is an occasional visitor at the Las Descargues lights although more often encountered in the nearby Pinus sylvestris woodlands.

Larvae feed on the young needles and buds of Pinus sylvestris but also found on Picea abies, Juniperus, and Cupressus.
