Proutia betulina (Zeller, 1839)

Wingspan: 11-14mm

A univoltine species on the wing from May to the end of July when it is a scarce visitor to the lights at Las Descargues. A woodland species.

Larvae feed on lichens. The case is constructed of lichen, bark, leaves and grass and is 8-10mm long.
