Nematopogon swammerdamella (Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan: 18-21mm

A univoltine woodland species flying in May and June with occasional sightings into early July. It is attracted to light and has been recorded from all upland woodland traps but not from the stunted woodland of the Causse.

Larvae are thought to feed on the dead leaves of Fagus, and Quercus.
