Blastobasis glandulella (Riley, 1871)

Wingspan: 14-20mm

A univoltine species on the wing from May to the end of August when it is an occasional visitor to the woodland traps where oak and sweet chestnut are present. Species yet to be dissected for confirmation of id.

Larvae feed in acorns and sweet chestnuts, in the USA they are called Acorn Moths.
