Scopula nigropunctata (Hufnagel, 1767)

Wingspan: 28-32mm

A bivoltine species in the south but a scarce visitor to the lights at Las Descargues. A species of woodland rides and floristically-rich meadow of the plateau.

Larvae are thought to be polyphagous on Clematis, Lonicera, Rubus, Linaria, Viola, Alnus, Acer, Corylus spp. etc. Overwinters in the larval stage with pupation taking place in early Spring between leaves or below ground.
