Adela croesella (Scopoli, 1763)

Wingspan: 11-14mm

A univoltine diurnal species flying in May and June with occasional individuals flying late into early July. Adults fly in sunshine and can often be observed on flower heads. The species has only been recorded from the environs of Las Descargues but this is probably more due to lack of recording effort than restricted distribution.

Larval hostplants in Europe are Oleaceae, Fraxinus, Ligustrum vulgare and Hippophae.
