Pempelia formosa (Haworth, 1811)

Wingspan: 20-23mm

A bivoltine species flying from May to September when it comes infrequently to light but has been recorded from sites where elm is still found.

Larvae feed on elm Ulmus spp. Pupation takes place in the autumn in rotten wood or just beneath the surface of the ground.
