Acronicta psi (Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan: 33-44mm

Imago: bivoltine - March to June and July to September when it is attracted to light and has been recorded from almost all habitats although those featuring woodland produce the highest abundance.

Larvae: polyphagous on various broadleaved trees and shrubs, pupation takes place under bark, in rotten timber or in a crevice in the bark.
