Diachrysia chrysitis (Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan: 35-43mm

Imago: bivoltine - May to July and again in August to October when it is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all sites.

Larvae: feed on common nettle and various herbaceous plants overwintering as small larvae with pupation taking place in a loose cocoon on the underside of a leaf on the foodplant.
