Dysgonia algira (Linnaeus, 1767)

Wingspan: 36-48mm

A bivoltine Mediterranean species on the wing from May to September. Attracted to light, it has over the past few years become a far more common species. It has been taken at all woodland margins where it is most abundant but can be found in almost any habitat.

The larvae are polyphagous on herbaceous plants and woody perennials.
