Stegania cararia (Hübner, 1790)

Wingspan: 25-29mm

A univoltine species on the wing from May to the end of July when it is an occasional visitor to light, recorded from the Las Descargues garden traps, from the Ladirat poplar plantations and also from the open, broadleaved woodland of the ridge on the plateau wherever aspen is found.

Larva feeds on Populus tremula, Alnus glutinosa etc.
