Sharp-angled Peacock
La Philobie alternée

Wingspan: 27-32mm

A bivoltine species on the wing from May to June and again in August. More common than the previous species strongly attracted to light and taken from all broadleaved woodland traps and those habitats bordering the Bave valley near the river.

The larvae feed on blackthorn, alder and sea-buckthorn before overwintering as pupae.
