Clostera curtula (Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan: 36-38mm

A bivoltine species flying from early April and May and again in July and August. A regular visitor to light it has been recorded from all broadleaved woodland including poplar plantations and gardens.

Larva feed on poplars including aspen, wilow and sallows before overwintering as a pupa.
