Habrosyne pyritoides (Hufnagel, 1766)

Wingspan: 35-40mm

A bivoltine species on the wing from May to September when it is a frequent visitor to light and sugar and a common moth in wooded areas. It has been recorded at all sampling sites but is more abundant at broadleaved woodland sites.

Larvae are Rubus feeders before overwintering as pupae in a cocoon underground.
