Wingspan: 32-38mm

A bivoltine species flying from May to September. It is attracted to light and has been recorded from all sites but is more commonly taken from the Ladirat poplar plantations.

Larvae are poplar feeders and can be found on Populus alba, P. nigra and Populus tremula. The moth overwinters as pupae in a flimsy cocoon between the leaves of its foodplant.
