Odontopera bidentata (Clerck, 1759)

Scalloped Hazel
L'Ennomos dentelée

Wingspan: 46-50mm

Imago: univoltine - May - July. A regular visitor to light recorded from a variety of habitats although it appears most commonly along woodland margins of the ridge at Las Descargues.

Larva: feeds on hazel, birch, oak, privet, conifers, hawthorn and many other trees and shrubs. Overwinters as a pupa.
