Menophra abruptaria (Thunberg, 1792)

Wingspan: 36-42mm

Imago: trivoltine - April ; June - September. Visits light in small numbers and can ofen be found during the day on trunks and fence posts. A species of woodland, unmanaged grassland, hedgerows and gardens.

Larva: feeds on Linaria vulgaris, Syringa, Ligustrum etc. Overwinters as a pupa attached to the stem of the foodplant.
