Pseudoterpna pruinata (Hufnagel, 1767)

Grass Emerald
L'Hémithée du genet

Wingspan: 35-40mm

A bivoltine species on the wing from May to July and again in August and September. An occasional visitor to the lights at Las Descargues but more often encountered at woodland margin traps and those situated in or near woodland heath where the foodplants are well established.

Larvae feed on Genista, Cytisus and Ulex spp. Overwinters as a small larva.
