Agrochola lota (Clerck, 1759)

Red-line Quaker
La Xanthie lavée

Wingspan: 33-40mm

A univoltine species flying from September to the end of November. A common species and a frequent visitor to light and sugar. Recorded from woodland, heathland and fen and taken here at Las Descargues and occasionally from the Causse.

Larva feeds on sallow and willows overwintering as an egg.
