Rhodostrophia vibicaria (Clerck, 1759)

La Bande rouge

Wingspan: 27-33mm

Imago: bivoltine - June-July ; August-September. A regular visitor to light each summer, it has been recorded from both upland at Las Descargues and lowland Causse sites wherever the foodplant is found.

Larva: feeds on Genista, Cytisus, Calluna vulgaris and many other shrubs and woody perennials. Overwinters as a larva.
