Wingspan: 21-26mm

A bivoltine moth, possibly trivoltine flying from April to June and again from July to October. A common species and a frequent visitor to light. Recorded from rough grassland and woodland margins.

Te larvae are polyphagous on herbaceous plants, overwintering as partially grown larvae.
