Watsonalla uncinula (Borkhausen, 1790)

Spiny Hook-tip
Epine violette

Wingspan: male - 18-30mm female - 25-35mm

A trivoltine species flying from April to the end of September. It is a rare visitor to this area but occasionally comes to light and has been recorded at all lowland traps and once at Las Descargues.

Larvae feed on Quercus ilex and other oak species.
