Euproctis chrysorrhoea (Linnaeus, 1758)

Brown-tail
Le Cul brun

Wingspan: 36-42mm

A univoltine species flying in June-August. Both sexes are visitors to light and have been recorded from most sites where the foodplants exist.

The larva feeds on hawthorn and blackthorn, overwintering as a larva within a communal web.
