Arctornis l-nigrum (Müller, 1764)

Black V Moth
Le V noir

Wingspan: 52-60mm

Imago: univoltine - June-August. A beautiful translucent, pale green-blue when fresh and a frequent visitor to light, recorded from all deciduous woodland traps.

Larva: feeds on Quercus, Tilia, Fagus, Populus, Betula and Ulmus spp. Overwinters as a larva.
