Xestia agathina (Duponchel, 1827)

La Noctuelle agathine

Wingspan: 28-36mm

Imago: univoltine - August-October. An occasional visitor to light it has been recorded from woodland margin traps were patches of heathland are found and in other habitats where its foodplant is present.

Larva: feeds onCalluna vulgaris. Overwinters as an early instar larva with pupation taking place amongst plant detritus at the base of the foodplant.
